Meet Meaghan Terzis. Believe it or not, Meaghan just gave birth in July of 2009 (8 months before this picture was taken and 9 months before her show!) to a healthy baby girl, Evi Terzis! Working with Meaghan was so much fun! She is a great person with an amazing attitude and is so dedicated.
Competition prep can be very consuming, but life doesn't stop because you decide to do such an awesome thing. Meaghan has a little girl to care for and love, and needs to be as functional as possible during contest preparation. As a carbohydrate type, higher amounts of carbs are very important for Meaghan to function optimally (mentally and physically). We're not all the same and Meaghan is a pretty great example. Meaghan continued (and continues) to see fantastic results throughout contest preparation (as you can see!) maintaining a higher carbohydrate intake (including fruit). Her prep has kept her balanced and was completely natural (even free of fat burners, etc). Keeping Meaghan's plan as close to a balanced way of eating for her as possible makes the transition to "off season" so much easier on her and will limit the chances for excess weight gain after the show.
I'm so proud of her! She is such a picture of beauty and hard work and proof that you really can do what you set your mind to.
Meaghan took part in her first big Fitness Model Show on April 11th in the Fitness Star Athletic Fitness Model Competition. She placed in the top 5 out of 30 women! She was a complete natural on stage and had so much fun!
Meaghan did an awesome job at the Serious About Fitness Model Search! In response to her beauty and great stage presence she has been approached for more photo shoot opportunities as well as a Calendar shoot with Jeremy Short Photography!
She will be taking a well deserved break to hit the stage again for the Fitness Star event this November, this time as a level 2 competitor!
